Mark Ritson

Owner & Director
Mark has been an avid VW Enthusiast for over fifteen years and says this is the best move he’s ever made! Hailing from the Motor Trade some ten years ago, his background in sales helped the company move forward from Campervan Hire to Sales and Restorations. Immediately prior to establishing the business, Mark was a Police Officer for eight years working for Cumbria Constabulary. Both backgrounds have helped him push the company forward to becoming the largest VW Specialists in the North West UK.

Phil’s experience enables our workmanship to be of great quality. With over twenty years in the Motor Industry, Phil began his career restoring Classic Landrovers which also led him to become a trained Mechanic.

Stuart Higginson

Pre-Assembly & Parts Manager
Stuart has to be our most enthusiastic team member and a keen VW enthusiast. Stuart has over Fiftenn years experience in the Volkswagen industry. Responsible for the Production Assembly, Parts requirements, and acquisitions.  Stuart often has Vw projects on the go at home too!

Joe Smith

Panel Beater
A great ‘can do’ attitude Joe is our most ‘boyant’ team member. He has over Twelve years experience in the Bodywork Industry, enabling his work to be of a great standard. Joe is responsible for customer restorations and in house Sales projects, with a keen eye for vehicle spraying and finishing.

Chris Walker

Coach Builder
Bringing a wealth of experience with over 30 years in the Coach building sector, we are very pleased to have Chris within our Team. Responsible for all of our final fit and ‘best bits’, Chris’ keen eye for detail and a commercial, professional finish, enables us to stamp the final quality on our Bespoke builds.

Kieran Wood

Fabricator
Certainly adding a different dynamic to the Team here at Morecambe and Wize, is the ‘Sunflower’ Kieran. Following on from his Apprenticeship with us, he shows great talent for all things Welding. From Mig to Tig, he shows a high level of competence in these areas and we are very happy to have him on board! With a large number of our Campervans already under his belt, he is coping extremely well!

Thomas Ritson

Upholstery

With a lifetime of textile and artistic craftsmanship behind him, Thomas has come from a background of Bespoke tailoring on Saville Row, London. Putting all his talents to great use, he is our design and implementation planner for all interior workmanship. From designs, to physical products, we are pleased to have him on board assisting with our continuous Upholstery builds.

Callum Wilkinson

Fabricator

Coming into the business in 2017, Callum has a brilliant talent in the fabrication craft. His only wish when he left school was to conduct Welding and Fabrication works on Classic Vehicles – Well we’ve certainly provided that for him here! Predominantly working on our Australian Build-To-Order production.

Kevin Tait

Fabrication Team Leader

Fabricating and Welding for over Thirty Years, Kevin is another key member of the Fabrication team. With no job too big, or too small, the final quality finish is always the same. Kevin predominantly works on our New Zealand, Build-To-Order production.

Bodyshop Team Leader

Predominantly, Stuart conducts all painting workmanship on every vehicle of which we build. An International backed Warranty on all our Painting products – Stuart has a keen eye and ensures all product processes are adhered too.

Rob Metcalfe

Mechanical Team Leader

Rob would say “I Love this Job” and we would say “We Love you too!”. Having a keen eye for detail, and a personal wish to continually improve our Product range, Rob looks after a Team of Four and conducts all Mechanical work on our Build-To-Order production.

Craig Westray

Mechanicals

A steady old boy! Craig has years and years of Mechanical experience from leaving school some 35 years ago..! Taking his time to ensure all is how it should be, Craig spends most of his time conducting Pre-Assembly on our Production vehicles, Customer servicing and Engine/Mechaical component build-ups for the production line.

Coming to the company in 2017, Joe has a great attitude to working on Customer builds, and has a very good eye for detail. Taking his time with the near completed vehicles, Joe is methodical, and consistant, ensuring everything is completed as it should be. Happy to have him on board!
